Considerations:

A Chicago Glue & Machine Customer Experience Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining business. The Customer Experience Specialist is often the first person to person interaction a prospect has with our company. They are responsible for building and growing relationships with key decision makers within accounts. They must learn the ins and outs of customers' various adhesive applications and adhesive dispensing equipment. They generate leads, qualify prospects, and assist others on the sales and marketing team in the field, planning and administratively.

This role involves spending a significant amount of time on the telephone, video calls, working through email, and on occasion face to face with customers. The ideal person must be resilient, energetic, willing to learn, and detail oriented. They must be able to engage customers and prospects in discussions that underline the value CGM can bring to their operations. This person must be able to build trusted relationships to learn the buying process and foster loyalty. This person, once identifying a company's needs, collaborates with internal departments to optimize customer service.

Full Time: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, availability in the mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive repeatable and profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new and engaging existing customers.
  • Managing inbound inquiries, qualifying opportunities, sampling, quoting, and updating CRM
  • Manage pipeline in CRM.
  • Build and maintain a working knowledge of CGM capabilities, adhesive applications, equipment and adhesive industry.
  • Participate in training/coaching opportunities.
  • Act as a member of the Chicago Glue & Machine Sales team by working to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that help us continually improve.
  • Work with targeted accounts on new applications, product approval, testing, and business plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical/mechanical or marketing field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years professional sales experience, directly managing and supporting accounts and multiple technical product lines.
  • Demonstrated experiences and sales results in sales, prospecting, and new business development.
  • Proven experience & ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid Driver's License and car insurance with reliable car.
  • Occasional Travel not expected to exceed 20%.

Work is performed indoors in a normal office setting. Occasional trips to customers where conditions can vary.
