Job Description:
Customer Experience Representative IIIPlatte Valley Bank - Morrill JOB SUMMARY: Open and process new demand deposit, savings and money market accounts, in addition to new and renewed Certificate of Deposits and IRAs. Provide customers with rates, service charges, restrictions and other relevant account information. Input new account openings, check orders and/or other products info as needed on PC system. Research, resolve problems and respond to customers' inquiries on account status. May serve as a Consumer Lender offering and approving loans to customers. Will also serve as a back-up Teller when needed. Cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments / subsidiaries as appropriate. Keep informed of changes in bank services or procedures. Assist fellow associates to research and resolve problems and issues of all deposit accounts and internal operations.RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Open, process and renew demand and time deposit accounts including passbook accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit and money market accounts. Provide starter checks; order checks and provide Debit/ATM cards.
  • Provide customers with information on deposit accounts, rates, service charges, restrictions and other relevant account information.
  • Provide full service banking to customers; research and resolve problems and respond to customer inquiries on account status.
  • May approve and processes Consumer Loans for customers .
  • Achieve a level of performance at or above standards established for the Bank, to include referral goals.
  • Greet clients and prospective clients extending courtesy, kindness, and genuine interest.
  • Process a variety of financial transactions presented by customers in an accurate and timely manner according to established policy and procedures.
  • Fully proficient in all customer electronic banking tools.
  • Expand and cross sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments / subsidiaries (trust, investments, mortgage, insurance, Ambassador Club, etc.) as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior Personal Banker experience or Customer Experience Representative experience.
  • Post high school education and/or two years' work experience preferred. Previous sales experience helpful.
  • Math proficiency and aptitude.
  • General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in social and/or extracurricular and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships
  • Professional appearance.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
  • Ability to adjust to flexible hours.
  • Strong interest in and ability to sell products and services.
  • Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Physical Requirements:Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
