Job Description:

We are now hiring for a Custom Service Associate for our Adams Town and Adams West, NE locations. This position is being offered as full-time with benefits.

Essential duties:

* Provide a high level of customer service by addressing patrons, customers, farmers, and employees in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner. Answer telephone promptly and direct calls as needed.

* Weigh inbound and outbound Grain Trucks as they come through the scale

* Probe grain to check moisture levels and grade amount of foreign bodies or materials.

* Create an print receipts and tickets for customers and location transfers; work with customers to verify scale tickets and print reports.

* Supporting our staff by performing various clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, running errands, picking up and dropping off mail at post office, maintaining office and scale room cleanliness, etc.

Job skills and requirements:

* Must be able to use a computerized scale to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles, logging information relevant to each truck, including vehicle type, tags, and driver.

* Must be able to accurately record this data for billing purposes and perform regular audits to ensure appropriate billing.

* Must be able to work around grain and dust & lift up to 50lb. occasionally.

* Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time & able to work a flexible schedule with some weekends, especially during harvest season.

* Must be able to perform duties related to the anhydrous ammonia stations: fill and weigh nurse tanks, create tickets, re-weigh returned nurse tanks and create weigh tickets for the producer and the accounting/billing departments.

* Must be proficient on the use of computers to record the weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles.

* Must be able to log information into a centralized database, & Must be able to calculate costs for drivers based on vehicle weight.

* Must be able to maintain a safe, organized working environment

* Experience with radio communication is helpful, but not necessary to be successful at this position.

* Must be able to maintain & promote a strong safety culture & follow all safety policies, procedures, & regulations.

* Must be able to identify & communicate workplace hazards & correct or seek assistance in correcting, unsafe actions or conditions.

* Employees must also complete all safety training, complete necessary reports & required record keeping, as needed.

* Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training,

* and/or agricultural experience.
