**Description**

HHS Aviation is looking for professional, reliable team members with a commitment to excellent service to join our team at the Charlotte Airport. * Direct travelers to the proper security checkpoint lanes.

* Assist customers with wayfinding, baggage, and general airport customer service needs, answering questions, and providing pertinent information to customers as needed.

* Monitor the amount and size of carry-on items customers bring to security checkpoints using airport/air carrier-provided allowances and measuring equipment.

* Log all unclaimed baggage and notify the appropriate parties of it in a timely manner.

* Assist at the induction points to place baggage on the bag belts; load baggage in the most efficient manner onto conveyors serving the baggage handling system.

* Straighten security checkpoint stanchions when needed, to ensure a neat and organized queue.

* Staff the Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks to assist customers with the use of the kiosks and to answer any questions about the process.

* Other duties as assigned, in order to ensure smooth, efficient and orderly operation of the airport security and passenger processing areas.

**Requirements & Qualifications:**

* Must pass criminal background check.

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and use a hand cart, dollies, and other manually-operated equipment to move baggage pieces.

* Fluency and proficiency in the English language to greet and direct customers and answer airport-related questions.

* Comfort with standing for long periods of time.

* Consistency in providing clear directions to customers in a polite and engaging manner, while in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

* Knowledge of (or willingness to quickly learn) how to operate a 2-way radio, which will be used to communicate with other colleagues and partners throughout the airport.

* At least one year of customer service experience required (aviation/airline preferred).

The HHS Aviation operation at Charlotte Douglas International Airport operates 24/7, and we need team members who are able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. **Pay:** Starting at $12/hour

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Schedule:** Varying shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
