You will respond to sales leads and customer inquiries, ensuring customers can buy the vehicle they want in a way that suits them. You will offer support during every step of their car buying journey. We've become the nation's largest retailer of used cars due to our honesty and transparency, and those same traits will help you succeed too.What you will do – Essential responsibilitiesConnect with inbound customers online and over the phone to find out what they want and need from their next car purchaseUse your knowledge of the CarMax inventory to guide customers towards vehicles that meet their needsGuide customers every step of the way, from online sales or appraisal to arranging finance applications and scheduling vehicle delivery.Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing to provide an unrivaled customer service experienceMentor others as your skillset expandsAchieve sales targets while providing an iconic customer experienceAcquire the Automotive Sales Persons License in specific states – may require testing and travel as some states request physical presence to apply for the license.Qualifications and requirementsSales and customer service experience, in an area such as retail, is preferredThrive in a fast-paced sales environmentGood listening skills and a strong customer focusHigh level of self-motivation to achieve performance goalsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn and master new technologies; strong computer skillsOpen availability for shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be open to shifting schedules two times per year according to needs of the businessHybrid role with requirement for working on site one day per weekCandidates must live within 60 miles or 1 hour of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) locationAbout CarMaxCarMax disrupted the auto industry by delivering the honest, transparent and high-integrity experience customers want and deserve.
