Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION

The primary function of Customer Service is to support Seal Company's Defense/Aerospace sales objectives by maintaining on-going sales initially established by the Engineering Manager; to support, seek, contact, and negotiate with current customers and attain sales for the Company. Serve and support the Engineering team by providing support to Clients, internal Operations, Finance, Logistics and field staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Prepare and communicate customer price quotations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not inclusive of)

  • Provide exceptional Customer Service to our customers by managing, identifying, and responding to a high volume of communication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical order entry, specification and purchase order terms and condition review.
  • Follow up on quotes and generate accurate sales orders.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to assign tasks to the correct departments.
  • Coordinate with production department on customer ship dates prior to committing to an order.
  • Work with purchasing department by bringing inventory shortages to the department's attention.
  • Maintain thorough and updated customer records.
  • Conduct research and work cross functionally to resolve or escalate problems.
  • Regularly review, analyze, and prepare reports on the status of customers' orders.
  • Conduct proactive calls to ensure ongoing communication with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering management on ways to increase efficiencies and the effectiveness of servicing customers' needs.
  • Regular contact with all levels of interdepartmental personnel, including billing, collections, sales, drivers, transportation, and information services.
  • Ensures that all company transactions are conducted in an ethical and prudent manner.
  • Follow all instructions (written and verbal) as given by the Engineering Manager.
  • Follows through on leads, contacts, and commitments in a timely fashion.
  • Completes and submits all reports required and requested in a complete and timely manner.
  • Follows the proper implementation of normal operating procedures.
  • Keeps informed on competitors' selling policies, tactics, services, and prices offered.
  • Tasks and other duties may be directed from time to time by the Engineering Manager.

Educational requirements:

  • Preferred – Bachelor degree with 3+ years of work experience in an account management or customer service role OR High school diploma/GED coupled with 5+ years of work experience in a customer service or account management role.

Compensation details: 23-26 Hourly Wage
