Furnitureland South, the World's Largest Home Furnishings Showplace, is seeking an energetic, people-oriented, quality minded, and exceptionally well organized professional to join our Customer Service team. This position involves working with our customer service team and other departments including receiving, shipping, and sales to provide our customers with exceptional care.This associate will be involved in processes prior to shipping product as well as receiving in product.This lead position will help inspect items by carriers, determine current disposition and route product to the appropriate area for proper resolution.. The work schedule for this job is 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday. Work hours are 7:00am - 4:00pm. This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is:

Essential Functions and responsibilities
  • Function as a team lead able to back up all returns positions.Perform continuous improvement initiatives to improve process and care of overall product flow.
  • Computer data entry and writing skills to type in updated descriptions of returned products, repaired products, and donated products.
  • Resolves customer dissatisfactions by planning and directing the receipt, investigation, evaluation, and settling of complaints and claims; following up with customer and personally resolving difficult situations.
  • Stage, scan and complete all paperwork for donation bays.
  • Order various parts and track as needed working with sales and other departments.
  • Operates as back up to the RMF associate as needed.Assists with claims, tagging, paperwork, data entry and meeting MFR representatives.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to maneuver objects up to 300 lbs. with a dolly, hand truck or wheeled cart.
  • Assist in wrapping, unwrapping and moving furniture as needed. Reconcile bays once the product is moved.
  • Handles inventory issues to include cross tags, incorrect barcodes and lost product.
  • Use of scanner guns to properly update product as it is moved throughout the Distribution Center.
  • Gather necessary carts, tables, or other tools needed to move products
  • Ability to operate weight scales and weigh furniture returned from deliveries.
  • Forklift and/or lift truck experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass the written and driving tests for forklift and lift truck.
