Candidate will be assisting the bank's national contact center within the mortgage line of business. Candidates will be the front line contact with potential customers of bank home mortgage. This role will consist of outbound calling/cold calling of potential mortgage customersto inquire about their current mortgage needs. This is a short conversation (5-6 min). Much of the conversation is scripted to determine if they are interested in considering working with the bank. At that point, the call center agent will pass this customer to a home mortgage consultant.

This is a high volume contact center. Agents could be making 100-150 calls per day. They will work out of a que and continue to pull the next available lead to call out on.

Candidates could be hired for inbound, inbound/outbound, outbound. There are a variety of group needs.

Typical script: Welcome to the bank, you're on a recorded line, how may I assist you? One of the benefits of banking with bank is that we can get specialized services, can I ask you some questions to help direct you to the right team? Are you former bank employee, served in the military, buying a million plus home? - doing that 100 times a day. This script is the same for both inbound/outbound.

Selling points:

Will be trained to be safe certified. Upskilling multiple levels to senior team member. After a year you can look internally at all the job postings, and look to move there. Sales/servicing opportunities you can be an HMC or move into fraud. SME/TL or management is also an opportunity. Big on developing people in this group!

6+ months of customer service experience (call center/retail/food service) - must be comfortable speaking with customers over the phone and have a positive outlook on the conversation since they are the first point of contact with the customer

Prior call center/sales experience is highly preferred - candidates with this experience will be a quick hire

Bilingual Spanish Preferred
