Job Title: Customer Service
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Floor Manager
Summary
The customer service associate is responsible for providing friendly, prompt and knowledgeable service to customers in the areas of refunds/returns, various postal services, state lottery ticket sales and local bus ticket sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Serve as liaison between the customer and various store departments by providing friendly, courteous and prompt information
* Process requests for state lottery ticket sales, local bus tickets
* Process refunds and returns of purchases
* Process and sell materials needed for the United States Postal Service, such as packaging, stamps, certified mail, first class mail and overnight mail
* Responsible for opening or closing Customer Service machines and processes daily
* Responsible for operating the cash register, copier, mail meter and other equipment as necessary
* Responsible for keeping Customer Service clean, neat and clutter free
* Effectively and courteously field customer complaints in a reasonable and timely fashion
* Additional duties assigned by management

Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
Must be able to constantly operate a cash register and other customer service equipment
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required (or in progress)
Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
Basic math and computer skills
