Job Description:
Summary The inside sales representative will work cooperatively with customer service outside sales along with other worldwide members of the Buhler Groupto grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while always trying to improve customer satisfaction. An Inside Sales representative's jobentails selling or introducing new customer service products to established and prospective clients. The inside sales person's role is to build quotations on standard products, write orders and communicates pertinent information on them to customers. This involves tracking and following up on the leads. An Inside Sales representative handles the internal order documentation and acts as the overall coordinator through order receipt to the end user. Job Responsibilities
  • Assist customers when they call in, or forward to the applicable person.
  • Perform research to get the correct items to be quoted.
  • Generate cost sheets and proposals per customer requests.
  • Get updated pricing/shipping information for ordered items by working with vendors, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Price out manufactured items ensuring that DB1 objectives are in line with standard objectives.
  • Work with outside sales engineers to generate proposals.
  • Timely and consistent follow-up with customers to check status of proposals.
  • Work with customers regarding order status.
  • Generate spare parts lists for new manuals.
  • Check the pricing on the ship log is accurate for manufactured items.
  • Review new projects with engineering, as needed.
  • Run backlog report and distribute to purchasing/shipping.
  • Review historical documentation/databases
  • Review terms and conditions with finance
  • Initiate down payment and invoices due prior to shipment with accounting
Qualifications
  • Strong organization and problem solving skills and an ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to interface well with all departments and to represent the company in a highly professional manner with customers and vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities; able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, maintain appropriate behavior under pressure, and keep a positive work-life balance.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions independently, effectively and creatively within established company guidelines.
