Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite with Hybrid Potential after 90 days)

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Position Type: Full-time - 6 month Contract to Hire

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM CST (Some Saturday hours may be required)

Job Description:

As a Customer Service Rep, you'll play a critical role in supporting a leading provider of supplemental accident, health, disability, and life insurance products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing inbound and outbound calls and emails to provide a superior customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Handle inbound and outbound calls to provide high-quality customer service in a fast-paced contact center environment.

+ Efficiently address customer inquiries and issues, demonstrating professionalism and ownership.

+ Build rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations with prompt and accurate service.

+ Utilize multiple systems to research, analyze, and resolve customer requests.

+ Maintain performance and quality metrics while solving problems and making informed decisions.

+ Learn the basics of personal lines insurance and products offered to customers.

+ Work scheduled shifts and be flexible with overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Additional Qualifications:

+ High school diploma/GED Required; college degree or coursework preferred.

+ 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry or high-volume call center. (no retail)

+ Strong customer service focus with a commitment to delivering excellent service.

+ Previous experience in a high-volume contact center is a plus.

+ Proficient in computer skills, including multi-application navigation and multitasking.
