About the Opportunity:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Communication: The Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering incoming calls from all parties and reviewing accounts for any missing or additional information. They document complete and accurate details from each phone call into the respective accounts. Additionally, the representative makes outbound phone calls as necessary for follow-up on accounts.
* Account Management: Daily duties include indexing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), entering IS batches electronically to cash, verifying insurance eligibility to ensure correct billing information, and collecting payments from all parties for outstanding account balances. The representative also screens patients for financial assistance and aids them in the application process.
* Policy Adherence and Administrative Duties: The role involves adhering to and complying with all relevant policies and procedures. The representative processes incoming correspondence and attends scheduled educational sessions and department meetings to stay updated on best practices and department developments.
* Additional Responsibilities: The representative must be flexible and capable of performing any other duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating adaptability to meet organizational needs.
This is a full time, remote position at Shared Services Center - Sarasota in the Customer Service Department.
