**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**

The Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Centre is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Host/Cashier) to serve as a first-line liaison for internal and external customers including guests, clients, faculty, staff, students, and vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Deliver quality service and correspond with a diverse customer base in person, by phone, email, fax, or regular mail

* Greet and seat guests according to reservation requests and in proper server rotation while also being able to meet the guest's requests for special seating

* Awareness of shift activity

* Answer phones to assist guests, accept reservation requests, and take room service orders

* Respond to routine customer questions and/or needs, provide appropriate response/service; refer to other department(s)/unit(s), as appropriate

* May process a variety of financial transactions and maintain inventories

* Operate various equipment and computer systems

* Report unusual situations or concerns to appropriate persl

* Provide general support services to office

This position typically requires a High School Diploma or higher plus 1 year of related experience.
