Summary of Job Duties:

The Customer Service Representative (Event Coordinator) will be responsible for interacting with prospective students and their families, providing exceptional customer service via phone and email, and assisting with event planning and implementation. This position is governed by state and federal laws, as well as, agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience

* The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma;

* At least two years of experience in customer service, admissions/recruitment, event planning, or related field.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide logistical support for event planning, implementation, and assessment;

* Complete event and special project task list in a timely and precise manner;

* Assist with overall customer service departmental goals by supporting other employees and/or student workers when needed;

* Answer incoming calls and forward to the appropriate staff member if necessary and/or document all messages;

* Process incoming and outgoing mail;

* Assist with data entry, imaging, and electronic filing utilizing proprietary databases;

* Pick up/deliver documents to UA Little Rock personnel on campus as needed;

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Knowledge and experience with office administration and reception;

* Knowledge and experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing;

* Ability to develop, interpret, and apply policies and procedures;

* Ability to communicate both orally and in writing;

* Ability to use customer service initiatives to clients and the campus community;

* Independent worker and a team player;

* Excellent organizational skills;

* Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends.
