Job Description:
The Customer Service Representative performs customer service, communications and other duties associated with the efficient and timely operations of Patient Account Services. Responds to patient and insurance inquiries. Maintains over the counter (OTC) payments. Performs other duties as assigned. Acts as primary Patient Accounts Services Customer Service Representative, assisting patients and carriers in resolving problems on patient accounts in a courteous and efficient manner. Answers any correspondence or phone calls requesting copies of bills and/or additional information for resolution within 48 hours of receipt. Researches patient and insurance inquiries. Make necessary corrections to patient/demographic data and insurance information. Generates itemized bill and processes at patient request. Processes Cash Acceleration Program reports on a daily basis. Refers accounts to appropriate biller as required. Maintains Over the Counter (OTC) payments received from patients.
