A public sector organization in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to support its Financial Services Division. - Interact with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide clear explanations of policies, procedures, and services.
- Process payments, calculate and verify fees, and manage account adjustments while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Perform data entry and records management tasks, ensuring timely and accurate updates to accounts, transactions, and documentation.
- Assist customers in completing forms and provide support in preparing reports, correspondence, and records.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to prepare and manage spreadsheets, communications, and internal documentation.
- Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) customer service to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide timely responses to customer and department needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive customer information and financial data.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have at least 3- 5 years of experience in customer service, banking, or as a teller.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers effectively in both English and Spanish.
- Experience with cashiering, account management, or financial records is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining accuracy in financial transactions.
- Applicants must posses High School Diploma or GED
