The Customer Service Representative for Leica Biosystems is an important first-line of contact with our customers, setting the tone for how our company and services are experienced. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing a high volume of orders accurately and manages all aspects of the customer order fulfillment process which includes order entry through delivery.

This position is part of the Customer Service Team located in Deer Park, Illinois, reporting into the Customer Service Manager, and will be on site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Process daily orders received through multiple channels (phone, email, fax, EDI).

+ Professionally handle incoming requests from external and internal customers.

+ Ensure that issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly by clarifying a customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting & explaining the best solution to the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.

+ Be responsible for daily management which includes reviewing the status of all open orders and ensuring timely resolution.

+ Work all reports, including blocked & incomplete order tracking, to ensure deliveries are not delayed to the customer.

+ Provide sales support with the necessary research on price discrepancies, complaints, overnight samples, requests, etc.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ High school diploma, or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience. Associates degree preferred.

+ The ability to work a first shift role with hours of 8:30am - 5pm.

+ Proven track record of using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) along with SAP software experience.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Customer Service or Order Entry. 2+ years of experience is preferred.

+ Medical devices and related equipment.
