Job Description The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing high quality customer service to both internal and external customers and serves as a single point of contact for key customer representatives and outside sales team members. The successful CSR views their role as an extension of the sales team, by striving to understand the opportunities and goals each assigned customer is focused on achieving. Position location - This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based in New London, NC. RESPONSIBLIITIES:
  • Acts as the main point-of-contact for internal and external customer inquiries via phone, in-person and/or email with a focus of building strong relationships.
  • Leverage technology and key reporting tools to monitor customer orders from entry to production and shipping.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customer regarding unit requirements, prices, anticipated shipping date, and anticipated delays prior to ship dates, and any additional information required.
  • Strive to develop and maintain an expert knowledge of Fiberon product, channel and sales strategy.
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset and constantly looks for improvement opportunities in work processes.
QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Oracle (or similar) ERP/Order Management System.
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation.
  • Ability to solve problems and alleviate conflicts or escalate tactfully.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and prioritize.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post high school education.
  • Knowledge of the Building Industry or Home Improvement Retail Experience.
