Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking Customer Service Representatives to provide support to our client, one of the largest insurance organizations in the US. Job Title: Customer Service Representative | Health Insurance

Pay: $19.00-$20.50/hr | Based on Experience

Duration: 3-month contract | Potential to Extend

• Must Be Able to Start Oct. 21st
• Typing Assessment Required

Schedule: Monday – Friday // 40hrs/week

Location: Hybrid | Phoenix, AZ | In Office 1x a Month

Responsibilities:

• Customer Inquiries: Identify, research, process, and resolve customer inquiries via telephone, written communication, or in person.
• Call Management: Handle a high volume of customer calls and correspondence daily, meeting quality, quantity, and timeliness standards.
• Information Explanation: Explain a variety of information concerning services, including contract benefits, coverage changes, eligibility, and claims.
• Coordination: Consult with internal departments, external plans, providers, businesses, and government agencies to obtain information and resolve customer issues.
• Documentation: Update files and systems with relevant details regarding inquiries and correspondence.
• Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain current knowledge of required systems, procedures, and manuals.
• Utilization Management (for applicable roles): Review healthcare service requests for completeness, handle non-clinical data collection, and support defined clinical data collection using structured tools.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Skills/Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in claims processing, examination, health insurance, customer service, call centers, medical offices, or other healthcare-related fields.
• Knowledge of insurance claim coding, dental and medical terminology, and anatomy.
• Ability to type 35WPM with minimal errors. (Typing Test Required)
• Intermediate PC proficiency as well as with office equipment (copiers, fax machines, scanners, phones).

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree preferred
• Licenses:
• Within 45 days of hire, obtain an active, current, and unrestricted AZ Department of Insurance Health Insurance License.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Valid Arizona driver's license (if travel is required).
• Active AZ Department of Insurance Health Insurance License (for specific roles). (Within 45 days of hire, obtain an active, current, and unrestricted AZ Department of Insurance Health Insurance License)
