Job Summary

We are looking for a committed Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will handle all tasks and communications related to collecting patient information for durable medical equipment and respiratory products. This includes interacting with patients, colleagues, and referral sources concerning patient services and third-party reimbursement.

  • Update the respiratory grid as needed
  • Clear and review the previous day's route paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with patients, clients, and referral sources both verbally and in writing to address questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Complete SOPs/CMNs and track documentation on logs
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to meet JCAHO and company standards
  • Coordinate patient information, process paperwork, prepare files for the Billing Department, and complete batch reports for UPS deliveries
  • Maintain the referral log
  • Monitor and manage office supplies
  • Prepare weekly deposits for the location
  • Prepare invoices for the following day's routes
  • Process paperwork by confirming tickets, setting up new patients, and assembling charts
  • Provide service for all retail and walk-in equipment requests
  • Offer technical assistance to customers
  • Verify coverage information for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
  • Collaborate with external agencies to resolve customer issues
  • May be required to cover on-call shifts, drive a company vehicle, and make deliveries to patients' homes
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

Employment is contingent upon:

  • Background investigation (company-wide)
  • Drug screening (if applicable to the position)
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence with a clean driving record (if applicable to the position)

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
