**Department:** CDI Customer Service **Location:** Harrisonburg, VA

or **Job Purpose:**

This position will be responsible for dealing with all aspects of customer service, including but not limited to: order entry, complaint resolutions, written and verbal correspondence, account setup and maintenance, taking order payments, warranties, scheduling and freight. This position will develop and maintain positive working relationships not only with customers, but also internally with all areas of the organization.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Acts as liaison between customer and business. Assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancellations and other queries

* Places and schedules customer orders, including freight, and tracks progress to ensure on-time delivery

* Resolves product or service issues by working directly with the customer, selecting the best alternative, and following up with customer to ensure satisfaction

* Maintains working relationships with all areas of organization (operations, shipping, finance, etc.) in order to effectively manage customer expectations.

* Maintains and updates customer accounts as needed

* Responsible for answering incoming phone calls and greeting on-site guests

* Other duties as assigned

**Minimum Job Requirements:**

* Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required. Associates degree in related field and/or some college-level business coursework is preferable.

* 2+ years of previous customer service experience is required.

* Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with internal and external customers of all levels.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Word and Excel, is required; Experience with Nav-X is a plus

* Must be able to work and problem-solve independently, yet understand role as part of a larger team

* Must be able to multi-task effectively. High attention to detail and excellent organization skills required.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without compromising quality or accuracy

* Demonstrated ability to follow all safety rules
