Salary: $39,481.00 - $46,390.00 Annually Location : Chesterfield, VA Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 25-00307 Department: General Services Opening Date: 10/07/2024 Closing Date: 10/13/2024 11:59 PM Eastern Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; one year of customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Prior customer service experience in an automotive or fleet environment is preferred. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service, standard office practices, and procedures. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with the public; to interact with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds; to perform mathematical calculations; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer, related software, and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Current valid driver's license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. Duties Under general supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in customer assistance duties; performs customer assistance duties such as providing information, scheduling appointments, researching basic problems, performing routine collections, or making arrangements on customer accounts; answering inquiries and resolving complaints, receiving and processing payments, and explaining policies and procedures to customers. Greets and assists customers with routine matters; provides general information on Fleet Services programs; processes orders, payments, and other routine transactions; performs a variety of office support tasks (e.g. data entry, filing, copying). Perform other work as required. This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
