DescriptionWe are seeking someone that is dedicated, dependable and has proficient knowledge in durable medical equipment. Customer service representative will need to have strong organization and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Update and verify patient information
- Demonstrate timeliness, helpfulness, courtesy and patience when dealing with customers.
- Receive and process referrals in a timely manner.
- Market our equipment in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Receive and process cash and credit card payments for services rendered.
- Review patient accounts and assist in collecting overdue payments.
- Obtaining authorizations and pre-certs and enter those in the department software.
- Requalify patients when insurance plans change.
- Contact physicians and patients for any information needed to qualify for equipment.
- Paperwork scanning for insurance approvals.
- Complete, review, and correct delivery tickets when needed.
- Confirm work orders, supplies and pick ups.
- Assist with patients inquiries and concerns.
Required skills:
- Understanding of billing requirements for DME billing.
- Experience with navigating electronic medical records.
- Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
- Ability to work within timeframe of standard policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to our patients.
- Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential.
- Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team.
