Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Grand Rapids, MI

Vander Hyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative / Dispatcher!

Are you organized and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Do you have good critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment? If so, this might be the position for you!

As a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will be the key point of contact for both customers and technicians. CSRs are responsible for answering incoming calls, carefully listening to the callers' needs, providing information about the services we provide, and scheduling service calls to meet the customer's needs. You will monitor routes and the statuses of technicians in the field while prioritizing and coordinating other appointments that still need to be assigned.

A Qualified Customer Service Representative Duties & Responsibilities

* Manage a large volume of incoming phone calls

* Identify and assess customer needs to achieve satisfaction

* Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication

* Provide accurate, valid, and complete information

* Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies

* Respond to incoming emails in a timely and professional manner.

* Scheduling and dispatching appointments for service technicians

* Inform customers of additional products or services offered

Requirements:

* Dependable with excellent work attendance

* Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening abilities

* Excellent communication

* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

* Analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to remain composed in stressful situations

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* 2 years of customer service experience

* 1-year high volume call experience

* 1 year of dispatching experience

Job Type: Full-time, in-office position

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Range: $17-$23/ per hour, based on experience.
