Essential Job Functions
Processes payments received and applies to correct general ledger account.Serves as receptionist for City Hall officers; answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel.Assists utility customers with billing and usage inquiries.Balances cash received and makes bank deposits.Scans documents and receipts into document management system.Performs routine general clerical and filing duties.Reviews meter downloads and emails reports to customers.Registers customers for water services.Creates work orders.Provides general information to the public.Performs related duties. Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.Knowledge of city and department policies and procedures.Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.Knowledge of basic accounting principles.Knowledge of cash handling principles.Knowledge of customer service principles.Skill in prioritizing and organizing work.Skill in the provision of customer services.Skill in the maintenance of files and records.Skill in the use of such office equipment as a computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier.Skill in oral and written communication.Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- More than two years of related experience required.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
