Customer Service Representative
Job Purpose:
Performs assigned duties in the Customer Service area. Answering communications from customers, including phone calls, and puts information into Customer files. Direct certain electronic information or written correspondence from Customers. Acts as the contact person between the customer and the company for customer orders.
Nature of Duties:
* Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
* Documents the correspondence from customers and relays that information to production manager, shipping staff and other management staff as needed.
* Prepares process and status reports, assigns and monitors document numbers, and reviews documents for accuracy and completeness.
* Ensures documents are directed to the proper Customer Service Representative, for that customer.
* Performs related duties as assigned.
* Handles customer issues and directs to the appropriate Program Manager, Engineering or Quality departments.
* Handles order dates, part availability, quality issues, or directs the information to the proper department.
* Takes Customer orders and initiates purchase order reviews to get proper approvals, Enters order in Oracle.
* Updates and maintains many different spreadsheets and documentation required by each customer.
* Continually upgrade job skills to prepare for consideration into a Senior Customer Service Representative role.
Education and Experience:
Some prior Customer Service experience is a definite plus. Have experience and knowledge of MS Office applications, Oracle and ability to learn other applications. Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people. Be detailed, analytical and results oriented. High School diploma or equivalent. High School diploma or equivalent.
