Start Here. Grow Here. Stay Here. Representing the front door to the county , this fast pace, high volume position responds to inquiries for all 17 departments of Sarasota County government. This customer service work includes receiving, researching, referring and responding to the general public and county employees for government services or general information via incoming calls, emails, online service requests, webchat and in person. The work is performed under the direction of a supervisor and manager. Relies on a knowledge base, order entry databases, websites and pre-established guidelines to assist all inquiries, meeting first call resolution objectives.Answers inquiries from the general public and County employees for the purposes of obtaining County services or information; determines what type of service is being requested providing high level customer experiences and exceeding customer's expectations. Enters information in various systems to process work orders or inquiries. Provides updates and work statuses as requested. May be required to transfer inquiries to subject matter experts.Attends training sessions and meetings as needed. May be required to staff over the counter locations to assist the general public.Required to staff the Emergency Operations Center for long periods of time (including during lock-down) during emergencies, answering general public calls, providing essential information and guidance to those in need.Meet customer service standards and business protocols on every inquiry.Works well in a one-team environment.
About YouMinimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- One-year experience in call center experience.
- Note: One year of college may substitute for one year of experience.
Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.Pay: $18.00-$18.63/hour, based on your experienceOur interview process could include phone interview(s), Microsoft Teams video interview(s), and/or in-person interview(s).
