At Michigan Sugar, our purpose is Making Life Sweeter, and our mission is Creating Growth and Opportunity.Michigan Sugar Company has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Customer Service Representative, located at the Corporate Office, 122 Uptown Drive, Bay City, MI 48708.JOB SUMMARYA Customer Service Representative at Michigan Sugar is responsible for entering and confirming customer orders and working directly with customers to ensure satisfaction. This position requires having a passion for the customer, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and be able to function in an environment that frequently changes.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Entering customer orders received by phone, email and EDI.
  • Responding to customer inquiries within 1 hour during normal business hours.
  • Ensuring customer concerns are brought to resolution within 24 hours or promptly escalated to the appropriate department as needed.
  • Ensure product inventories are sufficient and meet customer quality specifications/standards enabling customer satisfaction resulting in favorable OTIF percentage.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 5 years of equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
