DescriptionAs a Customer Service Representative, you will provide a wide variety of services to funeral homes, home preneed counselors, agents, marketing organizations, account executives, and policy owners. You'll work with a team and collaborate with colleagues to help our customers and the families we serve together.* Provides highly responsive, time-sensitive, high volume, customer-oriented service designed to enhance Company relationships across internal and external individuals.* Resolve issues related to accounting, claims, and new business for paper and online methods.* Receives and responds to telephone and written correspondence inquires, provides information and services related to correspondences.* Provides information and services related to new business, claims, policy information and policy changes. etc.* Assist agents and funeral homes with on-line services including enrollment, reporting, administration, system navigation.* Work with agents and customers to resolves issues to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements and company standards.* Assist with commission and compensation questions from customers.* Conduct system testing to help ensure integrity of files and proper underwriting are within limits.Requirements* Equivalent to high school degree* Completion of a two-year associate degree program in a job-related field is preferred.* 3-5+ years of customer service experience in a financial services organization, preferably life insurance, involving extensive in-bound and out-bound phone work is a plus.* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office products: Outlook and Word.* Experience on a LifePro office administration system preferred.* Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.Pay and Benefits Summary:* An excellent schedule - office closes at 1 p.m. every Friday* Annual profit sharing* 401(k) with company match with discretionary contribution* Company-sponsored group medical and dental insuranceAbout Homesteaders:Homesteaders Life Company, a mutual company owned by its policy holders, is a national leader providing products and services to help people design a better farewell.
