Job DescriptionThe Customer Service Representative interacts with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.* Process orders and quotes for material or service received via fax, mail, email telephone, web chat, or personal requests for customers or Renishaw Sales Managers paying special attention to accuracy and detail* Directs and expedites orders for customer requirements* Confer with customers to provide information about products and services. This may include technical details, pricing, shipping information, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer* Follow up on orders to ensure delivery to specified dates* Coordinates product returns and customer complaints* Interfaces with all internal and external customers* Escalates issues to higher authorities* Excellent attention to accuracy and detail* Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively* Ability to build rapport with prospective customers/ customers* Interest in manufacturing technology and application* Accepts responsibility for quality of work* Identifies upsell and cross sell opportunities and takes appropriate action when required* Flexibility and adaptability* Ability and willingness to learn and progress* Any other duties as requiredEducation and Experience: Minimum* High school diploma* 3 - 5 years of customer service experience* Proficient with Microsoft office applications especially Outlook, Word and ExcelEducation and Experience: Preferred* Export logistics knowledge* Interest in manufacturing technology* Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems* Experience with enterprise Resource Planning software applications especially operations (ERP)* Prior experience working with technical products in a sale or purchasing environmentEqual opportunity employer.
