Customer Service Representative

The Redd Insurance Group is looking for a positive, friendly person with a growth mindset to join our agency. Below is a sample of important tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed:

▪ Greet and welcome visitors and customers in a courteous and well-mannered way (in person or over the phone).

▪ Build and maintain strong and profitable relationship with customers and potential customers.

▪ Ask how you could be of help to customers as well as listen to them to identify their needs.

▪ Answer customers' questions in a prompt and effective manner.

▪ Assist customers to resolve their complaints, as well as assist them in getting desired services quickly.

▪ May be required to make sales and process credit card payments.

▪ Inform customers and potential customers of new or existing products that they may like to try out.

▪ Assist customers in filling necessary forms, as well as collecting customers' data for organization use.

▪ Schedule appointments with customers and remind them of appointment scheduled.

▪ Answer incoming calls and respond to emails and social media messages.

▪ Analyze customer's complaints and recommend solutions.

▪ Have discussions with customers via telephone or email and provide information on the company's products and services.

▪ Document conversations with clients with details of inquiries or complaints and action steps that were taken.

▪ Understand the company's insurance policies and products and be able to tell whether a policy covers a type of loss or not.

▪ Call up customers who had previously called to complain to know if their challenges have been resolved and to ensure that they are now satisfied.

▪ Take S.O.S calls from clients that have been involved in an accident, vehicle breakdown, or clients who need assistance with their vehicles and mobilizing help for such clients.

▪ Communicate changes or adjustment in policies to clients.

▪ Prepare newsletters, e-mails, and other forms of correspondences to customers.

To succeed as a customer service representative, the successful candidate needs to possess the following qualities, skills, abilities:

▪ Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.

▪ Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

▪ Ability to handle and pacify difficult customers.

▪ Must always be friendly and willing to provide assistance to others.

▪ A good memory for data and details.

▪ Basic computer and typing skills with the ability to learn new systems.

▪ Must be punctual at all times and able to put in flexible working hours.

▪ A good listener with sound judgment.

▪ Ability to cope in a fast-paced job environment.

▪ He/she must be able to critically analyze all situations and solve problems efficiently.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the insurance industry and their Property and Casualty license (or the willingness to get their license quickly). This position will start part time with the potential to move to full time if there is a good fit. This position will start in January 2025.
