We are looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) - Teller to join our team in Waukon. As a CSR-Teller, you will be the primary point of contact for all customers who enter the bank. Your role is crucial in providing retail banking services and products to customers. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with each customer and educating them on the various ways they can bank with us. This involves recommending and opening appropriate products and services to meet their financial needs. You will leverage your interpersonal skills to assist new and existing customers in understanding their financial requirements, resolving issues, and processing teller transactions. The ability to work on a rotating Saturday morning schedule is a requirement.RequirementsDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform all paying and receiving functions.
  • Verify fund availability, proper endorsements, and authorized signatures.
  • Balance currency, coin, and checks in the cash drawer at the end of the day.
  • Process customer orders for travel and gift cards, money orders, and cash savings bonds.
  • Accept and process loan payments.
  • Process deposits from ATM and night depository box.
  • Open communication with customers who come into the bank seeking bank services.
  • Counsel customers on the optimum fit between their financial needs and bank products, referring to lenders if necessary.
  • Open new accounts and explain features and benefits.
  • Prepare proper documentation and explain and execute those documents.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Rent safe deposit boxes.
  • Resolve customer concerns.
  • Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.
  • Thorough understanding of customer service.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working directly with the public is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time.
  • May need to sit or stand for long periods of time.
