Customer Experience - Greeter - for our San Jose locations

Hours per week: This is a part-time position to start with an immediate needed some afternoons and Saturday's. It may grow to up to 25 hours per week (multiple site assignments is possible)

Qualifications: Experience in dealing with people – kids and adults - and interested and available specifically for our Race Street location. Must be able to begin work weekdays between the hours of 3:45pm and 8:15pm and Saturday's between the hours of 8:30am - 2pm. Hours fluctuate pending the daily needs. Additional hours are available and may be assigned for coverage during special events and birthday parties held here at CSC.

Training/Education: Must be at least 16 years of age. Training is provided. This position requires minimal experience in a previous customer service role. As a condition of employment this position requires an approved CPR/FA certification which, if the candidate is not currently in possession of, must be completed within the first 30 days of employment. Information is provided upon request and within the hiring process.

Skills: Strong positive communication skills, outgoing, upbeat and professionally confident with customers, and staff, and must love kids. This is a sales position - learning all about dance and gymnastics, as well as our many events will be part of the training. Generally, our customer service staff are the front lines of greeting & helping our customers, maintaining a clean lobby and stocked/clean restrooms, decorating bulletin boards, opening/closing duties, and other duties as assigned.

Duties:

  • Sell our class programming - gymnastics, dance, and special events.
  • Greet and assist all customers – especially new student tryouts
  • Answer phones – correctly, professionally.
  • Maintain clean and organized lobby areas and stocked / cleaned restrooms.
  • Know and follow all CSC Policies and Procedures; read and understand pertinent handbooks.
  • Complete New Hiring Training program/worksheet within 90 days (w/mentor)
  • Attend scheduled orientation and trainings as required.
  • Understand and complete the pricing and signup procedures with customers
  • Collect payments
  • Schedule First Class experiences with new students.
  • Assist to Register new students
  • Understand class records and roll sheets
  • General office duties as assigned
  • Assist in retail to maintain inventories
  • Assist in the sales and support of events as assigned (including weekends)
  • Assist with facility maintenance and cleanliness as required by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: Minimum wage to $21.00 per hour pending the persons previous experience in customer service positions.
