Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers by ensuring the best possible customer satisfaction through providing expertise, accurate and timely information, and expediting requests.
  • Responsible for daily customer activity, purchase orders, purchase order releases, quotes and reports.
  • Enter and maintain sales orders for production using EDI and manual order entry.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, problems and complaints regarding products, services, etc.
  • Enter all required information into the computerized systems to create and maintain the customer database, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Initiate the quoting process after receiving requests for quotes from internal and external customers.
  • Complete the new customer account set up by following the established process and retaining the appropriate documentation.
  • Prepare, complete and maintain all required correspondence, paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as open orders, service logs, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers, including the ability to flex priorities to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
