Benefits Available!Weekly Pay! $17.50/Hour Shift Details: 8:00AM to 5:00PM DESCRIPTION:Ideal candidate (Manager comments):Able to multitaskProfessional on the phoneAble to limit distractions Previous customer service experience (phone or in person)Good computer skillsPURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Customer Associate is the first point of contact to address our customer needs and creates solutions in the best interest of our customers and ClientThis position engages and collaborates with external customers and internal partners to make Client the supplier of choiceThe Customer Associate is a team player, adaptable to change, and is an active learner who seeks out and learns market trends and behaviorsThis role is part of Customer Operations within the Supply Chain TeamJOB RESPONSIBILITIESService our CustomersDeliver consistent service to our customersMaximize every opportunity to “sell” to the customerTake proactive actions to meet customer needs and concerns creating win/win solutionsEnter orders accuratelyDevelop close relationships with our customers and understand what it takes to ensure their successDevelop customer trust by consistently following through on actions and operating with integrityLeverage relationships to obtain outside-in market insightsLeverage product training opportunitiesOperate in a Waste Free EnvironmentEffectively use Lean Sigma methodology and tools (standard work) to support a waste free environmentIdentify and take action to eliminate non-value added activities within day to day operationsIdentify opportunities for, develop, maintain and execute Standard WorkUnderstand and promote the use of customer tools and technologyLive the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilitiesImplement a personal safety action plan and review with leaderAdhere to the Client safety policies at all times JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school degree, Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred EXPERIENCE:SAP experience desiredPrevious experience in an ever-changing, fast-paced customer service environmentPrevious experience creating solutions in the best interest of the company and the customer KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Fluency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Knowledge of building materials industry preferredSupply Chain knowledgeStrong oral & written communication and listening skillsSupportive and adaptive to a change management initiatives
