Job Description:

Steadily is an insurance technology company that specializes in rental property insurance for landlords. We're Series B, just over 130 people, manage $20B in risk, and are intent on becoming the world's best and largest insurer of rental properties. We exist to deliver fast, affordable insurance and to pay claims quickly and fairly. To do that, we hire the best engineers, actuaries, sales, and service people in the country to build the experience that we'd want if we were the client. Our Client Experience team's core mandate is to deliver world-class, end-to-end experiences for our customers, both insureds and independent agencies, that drive brand loyalty and retention. You'll be a part of delivering on that mandate. As a Customer Support Specialist on the CX team, you will:

  • Respond to high volume of inbound calls and email requests from insureds, lenders, and carriers to address servicing requests for active policies.
  • Handle any post-bind servicing requests that require a license to handle; e.g. premium bearing endorsements, rewriting policies for effective date changes, and discussing underwriting action notices with insureds.
  • Process servicing requests across the 20+ insurance carrier systems we work with and maintain updated records in our agency and document management system (Salesforce).
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to policy servicing, as needed.
Your Background
  • Customer Service: You have direct experience working in a customer-facing role and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tech Savvy: You have above average technical skills; learning to navigate new systems and tools is easy for you.
  • Hungry: You want to make the leap into an earlier-stage tech company to rapidly accelerate your growth. You want to roll up your sleeves and hustle. You're willing to do what it takes to achieve your goals and excel.
  • Solution Oriented: You don't need explicit instructions to figure out a problem; you're a problem solver and you won't stop until you've found a solution and resolved an issue.
  • Self-Driven: You thrive under pressure and can manage a large workload with minimal oversight. There is no task too small or beneath you; that's not my job is never your mantra.
Licensing
  • A Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license is not required to apply for this role. However, if you would like to grow within the organization, we can work with you towards obtaining your license within 12 months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Highest salary in KC Metro
  • Base Pay: $31.25 / hour ($65,000 per year)

Location & Schedule:
  • Kansas City metro area (Overland Park)
  • 4 days in office and WFH Wednesdays after training
  • Our Customer Support team is available Mon - Fri 7am - 7pm CT; your schedule will fall between those hours (e.g. 7am - 4pm or 10am - 7pm).
