All in an exciting and everchanging entrepreneurial environment.Job Definition:The Warehouse Representative/Customer Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining all aspects that relate to the duties within a warehouse, such as shipping and receiving, cycle counts, deliveries, and pickups.Responsibilities:Answer emails and telephone calls from customers and assist them in their needs, such as identifying and interchanging product.Enter and maintain sales orders and expedite previous sales orders.Accurately quote product to the customer.Purchase product directly from the manufacturer.Assist and support the outside sales staff, including customer follow-up.Identify and document cost savings.Capture over-the-counter sales with walk-in customers.Responsible for picking, packing, shipping, and receiving orders from and to BDI customers, suppliers, and branches.Perform daily cycle counts to accurately track branch inventory.Conduct quality check of material pulled for customer orders.Stand, walk, bend, and lift objects, often over 25 pounds and occasionally topping 50 pounds in weight.Operate a forklift or order picker to reach objects from high shelves and racks.Process shipments through the warehouse management system.Maintain a clean and safe work environment, according to BDI's safety standards.May deliver and pick up shipments from BDI customers and suppliers.Responsible for other duties as they are assigned.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.1+ years in a customer service or sales environment preferred.Strong Microsoft Outlook and general computer skills.Great communication and telephone skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift heavy objects, occasionally topping 50 pounds in weight.Capability to learn and operate material handling equipment.Must be willing to complete all required BDI training.Ability to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Report check.Preferred Qualifications:Working product knowledge of bearings and power transmission products.*BDI reserves the right to change job duties at any time.
