Customs Brokerage Compliance Manager - USA (Hybrid Role)

We are seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Compliance Manager to join a leading logistics company in the USA. This role involves overseeing customs brokerage activities to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, driving operational excellence, and supporting company-wide compliance objectives. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) located in Doral, FL.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $130-135,000. We encourage all relevant candidates to apply as there may be flexibility on final job title and responsibilities. The salary offer will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, internal equity etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination of Customs Brokerage activities and ensure compliance with established policies and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze compliance activities, including ABI error rates, branch performance, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on customs and trade procedures.
  • Interact with Customs, government agencies, and clients to address trade issues and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee the preparation of post-entry activities, including audits, adjustments, and protests.
  • Evaluate compliance operations and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining the company's compliance manual and support C-TPAT risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Customs Brokerage within Freight Forwarding or 3PL.
  • Customs Broker License required.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, including classification, valuation, and cross-border practices.
  • Proficiency in CFR Title 19, Harmonized Tariff Schedules, and Automated Broker Interface (ABI).
  • Ability to interact with Customs and government agencies at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
