In this global role, you will ensure all Lovisa international operations comply with Customs regulations, while promoting a culture of trust. As a Customs Compliance Manager you will work to protect Lovisa through best practices and ensure high Customs standards are maintained globally, validating tariff codes while reviewing processes to streamline operations and mitigate risk. ROLE OVERVIEW: • Own tariff codes for Lovisa products across all markets. • Act as first point of contact for all Customs related concerns in all markets - North America, Europe, Asia - Pacific. • Develop and implement improvement initiatives for pre-entry and post-entry processes, including HTS classification, antidumping and countervailing duties as well as Partner Government Agency requirements. • Actively identify and manage risks related to Customs processes • Investigate, implement and monitor the strategic use of Free Trade Agreements and drawback opportunities where available. • Support and develop training on relevant Customs topics for stakeholders and business partners • Oversee interaction with Customs authorities as well as support external audits and local operations • Continuously evaluate current ways of working, identify and address improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and implement processes • Interface with other departments impacting Customs operations within Lovisa • Monitor changes in local rules and legislation and provide timely communication of events with potential business impact • Contribute to regional/global projects and establishment of working methods • Audit and evaluate the performance of Customs agents acting on behalf of Lovisa • Provide the business with Customs advice for expansion projects • Review, improve and maintain standard operational procedures in relation to customs procedures. ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: • 4-year University degree or relevant experience is required • Customs Broker License will be highly regarded • 5+ years of experience managing Customs-related matters • Experience dealing with classification matters will be highly regarded • Prior experience in Import/Export and Supply Chain logistics • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and comprehend regulatory requirements for imports and exports • Fluency in English (written and verbal) • Excellent communicator, capable of clearly communicating with internal and external parties. • Ability to develop, implement and communicate processes.
