Job Description:

Woodland Group are recruiting a Customs Entry Writer for our New York office. A Customs Entry Writer will be an experienced entry writer familiar with HTS classification and PGA's with 5+ years of experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Preparation of customs, ISF and RLF entries
  • Entry classification and valuation
  • Reviewing and verifying documentation for accuracy to ensure compliance with all federal regulations
  • Working with Customs, air carriers, steamship lines, piers and CFS's
  • Troubleshooting any issues, problems or examinations that may arise
  • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or manager

About you:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, college preferred
  • At least 5 years of Customs Brokerage experience to include entry writing, classification and valuation of merchandise
  • Thorough knowledge of HTS and CFR 19, Customs Regulations
  • Familiarity with PGA clearances and their various documentation requirements
  • Experience with ACE and RLF a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task and team-oriented
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Cargowise a plus
