Job DetailsJob Location ReadyOne Industries- 1414 Ability Dr - El Paso, TX Position Type Full Time DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning and coordinating all cutting processes within the organization and directs the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, repair, and management of integrated cutting production assuring performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control. These processes integrate people, information, and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be able to manage and direct the launching of new products to produce the item within the timeframe, and budget required, and utilizing disabled workers.
  • Responsible for the set-up training repair and maintenance of all cutting equipment.
  • Must evaluate the resources needed to achieve the goals in quality, production, disabled worker ratio requirements, and cost savings. This includes overseeing office and production layouts of equipment to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.
  • Must be able to determine best practices and improve efficiencies by recommending alternatives in methods, line balancing, wage administration, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are always implemented and maintained.
  • Communicate information or changes within the organization to employees.
  • Issue written and oral instructions.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency for workers.
  • Supervise and monitor staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for training, motivating, counseling, conducting performance evaluations, developing goals, and developing procedures to ensure the achievement of goals in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Continually provide feedback for both positive and negative performance.
  • Should be organized, detail-oriented, team player and task-oriented.
  • Computer literate-Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook - Intermediate level.
  • Rewind and inspect markers to avoid errors.
  • Communicate information or changes within the department.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
  • QualificationsMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job analysis are representative of the skill, and/or ability required. Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or Business Administration, or equivalent documented work experience. Experience: Two years in management, and two years in apparel or sewing-related industry or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific Skills: Apparel Industrial Engineering experience in a supervisory capacity is most critical to this position. Must know the methods, equipment, quality requirements, and production systems necessary to plan, start up, and continually improve a variety of apparel and sewn products. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required. Other Skills and Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills required. Ability to use general office equipment (i.e. facsimile, photocopy, and/or related office peripherals). English/Spanish proficiency helpful. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Physical Demands: Frequently sits bends, kneels, and reaches out with hands/arms. Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
