Assists OR Service Leader to ensure unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards.- Demonstrates leadership traits and supporting behavioral competencies.- Assists the OR Service Leader in analyzing data, ensuring team adherence to performance standards, and improving processes continuously.- Serves as primary liaison and information resource for specialty.- Oversees the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic, evidence-based environment that produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes.- Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.Requirements for Consideration:- Certification - Basic Life Support upon start; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT; Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire.- Registration must be completed within 6 months of hire- Licensure - None required- Experience - 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in cardiac surgery- Education - High School diploma or equivalent
