NATECH is recruiting for a Cyber Tech (SETA) - Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to join our team supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Information Innovation Office (I20). This position requires an Interim secret at minimum. Serving the I2O Office providing SETA support to senior DARPA Office level leadership. Work performed hybrid remote/on-site at DARPA in Arlington, VA Travel may be required up to 10% of the time Job Duties:
- Organize and collaborate with program support teams to plan for and support DARPA demonstrations, competitions, and challenges at a high level of execution and precision
- Exercise on-the-fly problem solving and critical thinking skills to address unanticipated circumstances that come with large-scale DARPA events, demos, and challenges
- Frequent communication, including formal and informal check-ins regarding schedule changes, urgent priorities, and evolving situations with respect to schedule, physical logistics, and coordination needs
- Communicate and interface among government leadership and research performers with the ability to ask scoping questions to ascertain supporting needs, timing, topics, and urgency
- Consistently apply the ability to bridge DARPA research activities with knowledge of relationships with external industry and government stakeholders
- Assist senior Department of Defense (DoD) research agency leadership with data calls, tasker management, internal communications, and data analytics or data scrubbing
- Other varied duties to include scheduling, coordination with government personnel, and communication with senior DoD leadership
Requirements Required Education and Experience:
- BS in computer science
- Interim secret at minimum
- Background supporting programs and/or government efforts supporting national security initiatives or programs in cyber
- Must possess the ability and background to serve in a function that will require judgement and the ability to support execution of atypical DARPA programs in the form of challenges and large-scale competition events
- Prior experience in supporting large-scale events (e.g. DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with staff, peers, and the DARPA Program Manager in a team environment
- Commitment to excellence and attention to detail on assignments of a varied, diverse and a sometimes difficult nature
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple/concurrent projects, as well as complete tasks of varying priority in parallel and under stressful time deadlines
Desired Skills:
- TS/SCI highly preferred
- Technology management and support background with some cyber and algorithms experience to support these duties
- Degree in machine learning, computer engineering, engineering, mathematics, or related field desired
