THE OPPORTUNITY
This Cybersecurity Engineer position can work out remotely within the U.S.
Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for ongoing analysis of internal and external cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, and the production of actionable intelligence for the organization. Individuals in this role collect data from multiple sources and recommend vulnerability mitigation approaches as well as provide detailed analysis of emerging cybersecurity threats. Individuals in this role provide assistance to security operations personnel to aid in identifying and blocking threats through development of signatures and configuration recommendations for security tools. What Youll Work On
Work with risk management, security teams and business leaders to align security awareness and education initiatives to compliance requirements.
Measure the effectiveness of the awareness and training program, make recommendations and execute change.
Influence and validate metrics used in assessment of security program success and regularly report to security and business leadership.
Interface with platform management and operations teams to aid in tool configuration and to ensure appropriate log review by operations personnel and data production for input into security intelligence program
Facilitate development of patterns for analysis tools used to identify and thwart malicious attacks
Protect applications in compliance with multiple, global privacy, security, business resiliency and compliance frameworks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field?
5 years of cybersecurity or IT management system experience with a strong preference for product security experience (consumer facing apps and services)
Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices?
Experience with insider risk management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
PREFERRED:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CEH) ?
