As the Cybersecurity Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing ISI Defense's cybersecurity operations for internal systems and its managed service provider (MSP) client environments. This role requires a proactive leader who excels in managing security operations, collaborating across departments, and leveraging hands-on experience with cutting-edge cybersecurity tools to enhance organizational and client security. You will lead efforts to fortify the organization's security posture and support its mission to deliver robust, scalable cybersecurity solutions. Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee cybersecurity operations, ensuring the security of systems, networks, and data across internal and client environments.
- Utilize industry-leading tools for SIEM, EDR/XDR, email security, patch management, configuration management, and vulnerability management to strengthen security operations.
- Drive the integration of automation and centralized platforms to enhance visibility, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Partner with Engineering to design and implement secure system architectures and integrate security best practices into development lifecycles.
- Collaborate with the Account Management team to address client-specific security needs and ensure alignment with service agreements.
- Work closely with the Compliance department to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, prepare for audits, and manage compliance-related projects.
- Coordinate with the Service Desk to improve incident triage and response, ensuring seamless communication during cybersecurity events.
- Engage with other internal teams to promote a unified approach to organizational security and operational excellence.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team, encouraging continuous professional growth and collaboration.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and resilience within the team.
- Lead efforts to identify, analyze, and mitigate emerging threats, ensuring proactive protection of organizational and client assets.
- Oversee incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident analysis to improve future resilience.
- Ensure cybersecurity operations comply with applicable frameworks and regulations, such as government and industry-specific standards.
- Support audit preparation and regulatory assessments, driving continuous improvement in compliance efforts.
- Act as a cybersecurity advisor for clients, delivering tailored security recommendations that align with their business objectives.
- Collaborate with project management and support teams to implement client-focused cybersecurity solutions effectively.
- Develop and implement risk management processes to identify, evaluate, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives, ensuring cybersecurity efforts align with organizational and client goals.
- Participate in the development of structured change management processes to minimize operational risks during system upgrades or modifications.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including public, private, and hybrid cloud models.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks and best practices for securing cloud-based applications and infrastructures.
- Proficiency in implementing and managing cloud-based security solutions such as identity and access management, encryption, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of cloud service models, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- Ability to collaborate with engineering and IT teams to design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
- Working knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture, including its components such as SD-WAN, CASB, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- Ability to assess, recommend, and implement policies and tools that align with SASE and Zero Trust principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in an MSP or similar environment preferred.
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, CySa+, CEH, Splunk Core or Power User or ESC Admin certificate or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with industry-leading tools for SIEM, EDR/XDR, SASE, Email Security, Patch management, Configuration management, PSA, and Vulnerability Management.
- Familiarity with both cloud and on-premise environments, including hybrid models.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proven leadership and organizational abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
