Our client, a leading warehouse and distribution company, is seeking an Cycle Counter to join their team in Hanahan, SC. As an Order Picker, you will be part of the warehouse department supporting the production line. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of inventory management, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Order Picker - 1st ShiftLocation: Hanahan, SCPay Range: $18.00What's the Job?Responsible for assembling, verifying and preparing customer orders for shipment.Responsible for quality control and packaging of finished product.Assist with inventory and suppliesCommunicate regularly with appropriate managementPerform tasks required to select/pick orders for the production areaLocate and pick product using work orders. Retrieve orders by quantity, part number, size, etc., verify order for accuracyBuild pallet with order, transport to the production staging areaTransport materials, parts, supplies and equipment as well as packing and shipping product throughout the department via order picker, forklift or pallet jackUnloads/puts away inbound shipments received from suppliers into warehouse locations and records movement appropriately to maintain an accurate inventoryEnsure supplies, boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc., are in stock, inform manager to reorder levelsProvide training/cross-training in equipment and process operations as neededMay act as the “go-to” person when assistance with procedures, equipment, or information is neededReview processes for improvement, assist with implementation and maintain as directed by the department managerConsolidate inventoryMaintain cleanliness of inventory in locations, i.e., discard broken, unstable pallets, monitor area for waste/trashOversee compliance of practices and maintain an orderly and safe warehouse and shipping areaDevelop and maintain a good working relationship and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department, Company, and Customer goals are achievedAll other duties and responsibilities as assignedWhat's Needed?2-5 years of warehouse experienceGood understanding of inventory managementStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyWillingness to learn & adaptStrong math, reading and writing skillsComputer proficient and able to use company ERP systemsForklift certification, cherry picker experiencePhysical ability to stand for long periods of timePhysical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with two-person liftIf this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
