Damage Specialist

Job Description

Project Resources Group (PRG) is looking for an outside plant expert for our Damage Specialist role in the area. Is that you? If you are self-motivated and organized, this may be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities:

Uses specialized knowledge and independent judgment to:

* Prepare detailed reports and documentation on incidents due to utility damage for internal review and external reporting.

* Develop a professional working relationship with the client, contractors, technicians, management team, and other personnel.

* Conduct regular inspections of job sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and damage prevention standards as requested by the client.

* Identify potential risks and hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

* Educate and train the client and other stakeholders on best practices for damage prevention.

* Raise awareness about the importance of damage prevention and the consequences of utility damage.

* Provide weekly reporting to client leadership in the stationed market.

* Provide the client 811 representation at the state level.

* Other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

* Understand and utilize State Dig Laws and Statutes, excavator requirements, and NESC standards.

* Reliable personal vehicle with valid driver's license and current insurance; min BI/PD 100/300/100.

* Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Must possess proficiency in MS Word, Excel, typing, and public computers.

* Strong logical competence.

* Business background with attention to detail.

* It is essential to be able to multitask and have good time management.

Education and Experience:

* Background in civil construction, finance, or government providing specialized knowledge in the areas of responsibility.

* Knowledge of the utility industry and/or utility locate industry.

* High School or equivalent (required).

* Bachelor's and/or a combination of years of professional experience (preferred).

Compensation and Perks:

* $75,000-$85,000/annually depending upon experience

* National mileage reimbursement for vehicle use
