The Darkroom Assistant in the Art Department is an exciting technical position for a student who has experience with black and white film developing. The Darkroom Assistant conducts open darkroom sessions independently outside of class.

Duties include:

* Open the darkroom, mix photography chemicals and set up equipment,

* Assist students in developing film and making photographic prints,

* Recycle chemicals and clean at session's end.

* Ensure that chemicals are closed and labeled properly,

* Maintain cleanliness of the photo lab and darkroom.

* Enforce rule: no food or drink in the photo lab or darkroom, and insure that only students enrolled in current classes are permitted to use the labs.

* Work-Study eligible only

* Must have completed ART 153
