Data Analyst and CMS Survey & Certification data specialistRole: This position is remote. We are seeking a highly knowledgeable individual with experience in the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Survey & Certification (S&C) data and processes. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data analysis, data mapping, and a comprehensive understanding of ASPEN datasets. The role requires the ability to conduct thorough research using S&C resources, such as the Medicare State Operations Manual (SOM), ASPEN user guides, and application business requirements. Additionally, the candidate must collaborate closely with customers to identify business needs and understand usage scenarios for application implementation. Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise in mapping legacy ASPEN data to the new iQIES platform
- Lead and assist in ongoing reviews of business and data processes, as well as customer usage scenarios
- Perform data migration analysis and prioritize requirements based on business needs
- Lead meetings and deliver presentations to share findings and propose solutions
- Conduct data mapping and verify data migration accuracy
- Participate in root cause analysis to recommend enhancements or other actions to improve usability and functionality
- Communicate effectively with clients, technical team members, and management
Requirements:
- 5 years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Extensive experience and familiarity with ASPEN in support of survey and certification activities.
- In-depth knowledge of ASPEN sub-systems, including ACTS, ACO, AEM, ASE-Q, AST, e-POC, CLIA, ASSURE, CMPTS, ARM, and QSTO
- Understanding of ASPEN data architecture for API development and data exchange
- Experience querying and analyzing CMS datasets related to survey and certification data
- Familiarity with MDS data and OASIS/DFR reports
- Proven experience working directly with management to ensure alignment of product goals, vision, and schedules
- Knowledge of state and federal surveying data analytics and reporting tools
- Experience developing tools for state agencies, including reports, applications, metrics, and user guides
- In-depth knowledge of software development, agile processes, and principles
- Experience working with State Agency (SA) staff and processes
- Ability to define and manage the roadmap for iQIES S&C capabilities in collaboration with product leads from government and contractors
- Define and prioritize high-level requirements and capabilities of iQIES S&C functionality
- Support community outreach regarding iQIES S&C functionality
- Experience with SAFe-based product processes, such as PI-planning
