We're on a mission to build the best platform in the world for engineers to understand and scale their systems, applications, and teams. We operate at high scale trillions of data points per day providing always-on alerting, metrics visualization, logs, and application tracing for tens of thousands of companies. Our engineering culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way.

You will join a unique Strategy and Operations team driving Datadog s next phase of growth. We are interdisciplinary thinkers leveraging diverse business backgrounds in management consulting, data analysis, finance and tech to accelerate Datadog s global growth. We work directly with teams & senior leadership across Datadog to set strategy, improve efficiency across the business, support data-driven decision-making, own complex operations and more.

As a Data Analyst on the Customer Strategy & Operations team, you will work closely with our go-to-market and customer facing teams to ensure they have all the data and dashboards they need to work effectively.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do:

  • Independently identify insights and dashboards that will help our go-to-market teams and individuals, specifically Enterprise AEs and Customer Success Managers.

  • Develop alerts for our go-to-market teams using our internal real time alerting platform.

  • Become an expert on our sales and product data.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, go-to-market, and key business needs and challenges, and proactively identify and implement new ideas through analytics.

  • Answer questions from CSMs, AEs, and leaders, and synthesize common questions into a suite of self-serve resources.

  • Scope and own the full deployment from build delivery of all projects, including all project management, enablement, and communications within and across teams as needed.

  • Contribute to our data modeling layer. This will include both working directly with data owners (Internal Analytics, Sales Systems, etc) to improve the underlying data AND deriving and productionizing aggregated data models when needed (using DBT).

  • Build relationships with the teams you support and the users of your work.

  • Present findings to peers, leaders, and executives.

  • Train other employees to use data to answer questions without assistance.

  • Be part of a Datadog-wide community of Data Analysts and receive technical mentorship.

You Are:

  • You have 4+ years experience as a Data Analyst and have mastered data analysis and visualization using Business Intelligence tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau

  • You are fluent in writing analytical SQL, are able to write complex queries with no assistance, and understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL

  • You are able to build intuitive and easy to use dashboards with minimal guidance and a strong eye for user experience

  • You are a clear, concise communicator that works well with others

  • You can explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical people in understandable ways

  • You have a natural curiosity and investigative mindset - driven to know why

  • You have experience working with large customer and product data sets

Bonus Points:

  • You have experience working in Customer Analytics and/or GTM Analytics

  • You have experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
